The Bible Line - Sept. 7, 2010

Referring to Philipians 2:13 I am confused.
A listener would like to know how the different Christian denominations formed….for example, Baptists, Methodists, Non-Denominational, etc. This person has tried to research this but really finds no real explanation on-line.
Why do we pray when God already knows what’s going to happen?
What does Pastor Broggi mean when he says that Baptism is not just a picture…it is an obligation that we must fulfill?
Why do some denominations use Deut. 22:5 to teach that women should not wear pants and further, that men should not wear shorts?
A listener was speaking with someone who was saying that in Exodus 32:14, God changed His mind and therefore He was not infallible. This woman knows that God is all-knowing so how do you answer someone who uses this and other verses to challenge the sovereignty of God?
Is it better to memorize an entire chapter of the Bible or individual verses?
Pastor Broggi was talking about the distinction between men and women in Deut. A caller was having a conversation with someone and it turned to the length of hair for women and men. Is there anywhere in the O.T. that describes the distinction between the length of hair for men and women (if you look at Samson and some of the other O.T. men it seems they had long hair yet men don’t wear their hair long today)?
In the last two years a listener has visited a local church only twice, both times witnessing the pastor, or a member of the church ’speaking in tongues’. The listener does not have a lot of knowledge of the bible and would like to know more about this, and what it means, or represents and what is written in the bible about this?
While listening to a sermon Pastor Broggi gave from the book of Genesis reference was made to time of the coming of the son of man will be just like the days of Noah. Does this passage refer to the coming of the Anti-Christ, or the second coming of Jesus Christ,
